SCT tunes and using Cruise control

Question:

I am running Eric's extreme street tune and have loved it. The other day I was on the highway driving about 75 mph for about 1.5 hrs straight on cruise. Got back to the city and had some punk pull up beside me. I was gonna show him lol I punched the gas at the green and the truck accelerated slower than stock. It was a bit embarrassing so I pulled over cried a few tears and continued home. I thought why did this happen? I wondered if restarting the truck would clear things up. It did, and I have been looking for that punk for a rematch since.

But seriously, does using cruise control or driving at a steady speed cause the truck to re-learn for the driving period until restart?

No it doesn't. Sounds like your truck went into limp mode though, were you trying a boosted launch? If you hold boost down for too long in a situation like that it goes into limp. I've done it once.

I mainly use my truck for commuting on the thruway 2+ hours at a time at speeds of 75mph on avg, and have gone as low as 70 and as high as 85mph without any issue.

^^^^agree with that. You shouldn't have an issue with tunes and cruise control.

I don't think it went into limp mode, doesn't the tow/haul light flash when that happens? Besides I didn't do a brake boost.

I was just wondering if maintaining a constant speed or RPM (nice and easy driving for awhile) then stomping on it, why didn't it go like greased lightning. It bogged down and was really slow. But after restarting the truck it worked as normal.
