Cat Delete pipe questions
i'm getting ready to order an mbrp turbo back setup and cat delete pipe. to be honest i'm very new to diesel engines. i've built tons of turbo tuner cars and v8's so i'm familar turbo motors in general. on every turbo'd from the factory car i've worked on there was always an 02 senor in the cat. also it took some tuning, normally on a full stand alone, to get everything to get along again once we removed to cat. my questions are this
does our truck have o2's in the cat? will deleting the cat w/o any turner cause problems for my trucks ecu? |

Not sure about newer models but no I cant imagine there would be an o2 in the cat. Deleting the cat withough tuning wont hurt a thing. Diesels dont need the backpressure and it will only help.

there are no sensors on the exhaust.

Since we have the exhaust topic up, what is the sound level like w/o a cat with the muffler already cut out? Will really gain anymore performance with the cat cut and will my truck throw a code with the cat cut?
