another warranty question

i'm pushing 82k so warranty wont be a concern for long but for the time being, what mods void your warranty? more specifically, will the basic bolt on intake and 4" exhuast void the power train warranty? i

It really all depends on your dealer. If they really want to be jerks about it, any mods could screw with your warranty.

Most of them seem OK with exhaust mods. I had an intake and complete exhaust on mine when I recently brought it in for warranty work... the service writer didn't even raise an eyebrow at them.

Took mine to the dealership today for the classic coolant loss. The only thing he cared about was a tuner or chip. Don't have either so I'm good

I must be lucky because I bought my truck used last July. It's at the dealership right now for EGR and head gaskets. I was very up front with the service rep, told him I believe the previous owner had a tuner on it but I bought this from another dealership and they said that the remaining warranty stands.

I spoke with the rep today and they said that my computer did in fact show a tuner and that they would put it back to stock. They are also going to allow me to upgrade to the studs and further told me that there head diesel mechanic does complete EGR deletes that he makes and installs once my warranty is over with.
