Just need some simple questions answered!
I am new to this site but not new to the performance world. Just trying to understand the tune aspect. How can a tune make your transmission hold more hp than someone elses tune? Just trying to see the differences. People keep writing about so and so's tune not hurt your tq and tranny. If you add 80 to 120 hp to a stock converter I thought you are looking for disaster.

Its all in the trans programing. A trans like the 5R110 thats behind the 6.0's and 6.4 is mostly electronically controlled with solenoids. Think of it as a performance program for your trans, only your adjusting shift points, line pressure and when the Torque converter locks up etc... To know exact specs on whats going on with the trans you would have to contact either Innovative Diesel or Elite Diesel and have them explain it to you from a programing aspect, but what i mentioned is the just of it.
