MBRP 4" Exhaust Cat Delete Option?
Hey guys,
I am looking into buying an MBRP Turbo Back 4" Exhaust System for my truck, but I want to be able to put the cat back in if I ever need to in case of emissions, inspection, etc. Do the Turbo Back kits from MBRP that don't use the stock cat have a pipe that comes out easily to replace with the cat, or do I have to buy a Turbo Back kit that uses the cat, then replace it with a cat delete pipe? The kits I am looking at are: S6206P - street legal (use the stock cat) S6212P - off road (does not use the stock cat) Furthermore, if I do go with the street legal one, then use the cat delete pipe (FAL414), is this pipe 4" and does it work as well as MBRP's off-road version (S6212P) Thanks guys |

you have to buy the stock cat version and buy the cat test pipe.... something like this: Ford 250/350 6.0 4" Turbo Back (stock cat) EC/CC

![]() Way easier than trying to install the factory cat on an off-road system. Off road systems, as I understand it, have solid piping and no provision whatsoever for the cat. |

I have had this setup for about a year with no problems. I have had inspected twice without the CAT and no issues in Texas. The only problem I had was the bolt heads they provided hit the flange weld on the delete pipe. A quick trip to the hardware store for a new SS bolt and problem solved.

Thanks for the answers guys. I went ahead and bought the Installer Series (Aluminized Steel) Turbo-Back (Street Legal) and the Aluminized Steel Cat Delete Pipe from Xtreme Diesel Performance for $390 shipped after their 10% 4th of July Sale. Figure it was a good price, and since I have the turbo out of my truck until next week (repairing HPOP, and doing an EGT Delete) I thought it would be a good time to add this.
