Will not start after new battery install

Last night as I got out of work stopped by a CVS when I came out truck would not start. So I called a tow truck tried to jump start to no avail. So I got up and removed both battery's took them to auto zone one was showing to be unstable. So I bought a new one (Auto Craft Gold 850cca) Charged up the other one a that showed to be good working condition (ac Delco 750cca)
I hooked it up after thoroughly cleaning the the wires and stuff.
Now I get nothing at all before I atleast heard it trying to start.
Also I have a new Clifford alarm system not sure if that's the culprit.
Scan Gauge 2 says 12 volt.
Any help suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Alarms can be a night mare on these, look at the dash and make sure the theft light is not flashing, if it is its an alarm problem, happens on mine a lot, you have to reset the factory alarm several times with the key fob until it recognizes the key.

Yes it is flashing it's a Clifford. By reseting the factory you mean lock unlock?

Turn the key to the "on" position and leave it there until the theft light on the instrument cluster goes completely out or quits flashing really fast then it should start.

Tried that. It's not flashing really fast, just slow.
