Finally made it to the dark side of a 6.0 ex

I have a 6.4, 7.3, 6.7 super duties but finally bought a 6.0. One owner 195,000 miles black 4x4 Eddie Bauer

Has swamps ficm
Hypertech custom tune(guy knew owner)
Spring swap
Egr delete

My guys picked it up and wrecked it two miles from purchase so now is at body shop getting new paint for hood, bumper, and grille

While there diesel mechanic is going to pull heads, stud and install new gaskets.

Question ? Is it worth port/polishing heads or any rework needed on design other than zeroing ?

Wait...wait..wait..
The mechanic can't just yank the heads, slap new gaskets on there, toss in a set of ARP's and you will live happily ever after. Forget it...Never happen.
The heads, once removed must be brought to a qualified machine shop where the will need to be magnafluxed for cracking checked/rebuilt as needed and machined flat.
Find the wrong machine shop or skip any of that and you will be redoing the stud job again sometime in the future.

Read this thread for what needs to be done to the heads: How to Machine the 6.0

Yeah it was sore subject around here for a few days, but truck ran fine with damage so I don't think anything is wrong mechanically. Drove it 3 hours home with nothing showing wrong on my Guage monitor

Nice looking excursion! I I love the black wheels and black grill. Now you just need the Harley Davidson head lights to match the look of the rig and maybe some recon cab lights.
