17 vs 18 vs 20 inch wheels

I have a 2003 Eddie Bauer Excursion, 6.0, completely stock, 140k miles. I'm about to pull the trigger on some new wheels. I've talked to CaryT a bit and know what he recommends, and appreciate his experience. However, I like to cultivate a variety of opinions in most situations, so I'd like to hear real world experiences from people that have 17, 18, and 20 inch wheels on their Excursions. I'm going to be running X/Modded B springs. Tire size will be something equivalent to 275/65R20 (34x10). We're going to purchase a travel trailer at some point, so tow performance is important to me.

Wheels and tires will be cheapest for the 17s, and I'll have a larger selection of tire sizes in the 17. 18in wheels are cheaper than 20s but tire size selection is limited and tire prices are about the same. 20in wheels are the most expensive, but tire selection is larger than 18in and tire prices are similar. 20s should handle the best, both loaded and unloaded, but as I said I'd like to hear some real-world experiences.

Well, never mind. I found a great deal on a set of 18x10 Fuel Throttle's and plan on running 325/65R18 Hankook RF10s.
