Turbo Intake location

Hello, I just recently purchased my fathers '05 Excursion Limited and I was wondering where I might be able to find the intake for the turbo. We have an older truck (diesel as well) and the trubo is in clear sight but I can't seem to locate the intake on the excursion. Many thanks in advance for the help.

Looking almost under the firewall you will find the turbo, and the intake will be looking at you.

On the drivers side between the batt and the fan shroud will see the intake air filter. Follow that the firewall. That is the intake side of the turbo.

Hope thats what you looking for.

How can you miss it? The filter housing is just about behind the left side headlight and that runs straight back to the turbo. Well straight back to the back side of the motor just about dead center. Unless the X's come with an engine cover that i am unaware of.

I can't get under the truck too easily, I have been talking to one mechanic at toyota about the HHO cell (he has one) and other stuff automobile related and I am going over there at some point to ask for further help. My dad is also good friends with a mechanic that works at the Mazda dealership (he was the only one he would let touch his 1962 Chrysler 300H) and might be asking him for some help.

Why would you have to get under the truck? The intake is under the hood
