Upgrading headlamps

So I have an 03 excursion, and I'm wanting to get 05 Harley HL, I have the thread on how to cut the header panel, I'm just wondering about an hid conversion kit, and if the one I have now will work on the 05?
And also how the pigtail works, does it plug into my harness now, then I buy hid's for an 05 model? And which pigtail would be the best for what I will be running. HID's

Re: Upgrading headlamps

You need to swap out for the 05-07 H13 headlight pigtails. Once you have done that, the H13/9008 HID kit will be required.

You will have to cut the existing pigtails off and install the H13 pigtails. Its a simple straight forward swap. Once completed, the new pigtails will pkug directly into the harness/ballast of the H13 HID kit. Make sense?

You can buy an adapter to convert the 9007s to the 05. I have harley lifts to put in mine also. I have had them for a while. I cant remember where i bought the conversion pigtail but it plugs into our factory harnesses And the other end into the newer lights

See HID's are so F'ING confusing. What about a complete retrofit with projectors and all?? Would I still have to splice the existing wiring harness?

What kind of bulbs in the hids? I would think there would have to be a jumper harness pending on lights. If you are doing direct swaps id think the headlights would be prewired to plug into the headlights. Only think you might have to wire up would be the leds or halos

Here is the guy i use for all my hids. 3bspec.com
He could probably piece something together if you had to. Or he may even know the answer
