Difference between 03-05 Ex

A friend of mine just got his Navigator totaled, and he's thinking about getting an Ex. He wanted to know the difference between the 03s to 05s. It seems the 04s are pretty easy to find, but the 05s are pretty rare and cost a lot more.

'05's Definitely have the 6.0, some '03's came w/ the 7.3. '05's 4x4 have coil front springs, better ride, better turning radius (better, but, still huge LOL). '05's have new grill/ headlights/ different front bumper. '05's may have factory trailler brake controller and/ or uppfitter switches. Dan

So how about the engine differences? I know they changed the engine in 03 and 04, but I read somewhere the Excursion 6.0 was a carry over in 05 and didn't have the updated high pressure oil rails and other engine changes done for the 05 model year.

Is an 04 gonna be likely to blow head gaskets or have bad injectors?
