Removing Dash Cover

I have a loose/non-functional power port (the one above the cupholders). How do you remove the plastic front cover of the dash without damaging it. I hate to take this to someone and spend $200 if I can fix it myself.

Thanks,

Garrett

You need to pull the radio out and the headlight switch and disconnect them. Then start by pulling the dash cover assembly towards the rear of the truck. You will have to unplug the 4x4 selector and the power port as your pulling the dash out. It's really not too bad to get it apart.

it may sound like its breaking behind what you cant see, but it is the plastic holding it in that is letting go, i was nervous as all hell when i did mine. When you get it out far enough to get a hand behind there, disconnect whatever you can to remove the dash
