Leveled out the Ex today
Put the donor springs in the front today. They were from a 02 F350 and I put new urethane bushings in from Energy Suspension. She has about a half inch of rake now. Rides better and I have more clearance for the new tires when these finally wear out. The job took about 4 hours with numerous beer/soda breaks. I had the help of a buddy and his 12 year old son. The kid was a huge help. Having that third set of hands was great. Nothing was incredibly hard but a lift would cut the time in half. We used nothing but hand tools and jacks and jack stands. I love the way it looks. Now I just want to get air bags for the rear. Keeping an eye on Craigslist for them. I'll get the pictures up tonight when I get on the computer.

I just did the standard V's up front and left the rears. I am toying with the idea of putting some air bags I the back end. I like the level look bu I want to be able to add some pressure when I hook up the boat and such. Now I've just got to find a set of air bags that don't cost me an arm and a leg. |

Instead of experimenting with your suspension give Cary a call he has perfected the right way to mod the Excursion.
