Excursion 6.0 newbie

Purchased a new to me 05 ex powerstroke today. I think I made a good buy, time will tell. It has high mileage (182k)but was fleet maintained. Seems to be all stock with new injectors. It drove real nice. Paid $11,500. Guess the mods are about to begin!

turns out it was owned by the maryland State Police its whole life. Seems to have been well maintained. Happy with my purchase

Sounds like a good one. Color is the same as my 03. You'll enjoy it. Watch out, your desire to start modding it will be obsessive.

I picked up my '03 6.0L Excursion for $17500 with 88,525 miles on it this past Friday. It had some interior issues, but I was willing to accept all the flaws due to the fact that it was an AZ/NM truck and rust free. Looking forward to modding it a little. Glad to finally have a PSD also.

Congrats on the new ride Brew! Wish mine had that few miles on it! Would have brought it out of my price range though.

I didn't see a manufacturers sticker. And unless it is above average aftermarket manufacturer, I think they had some one graft a cowl on to a stock hood. All of the OE hood insulation and the light are still present. It is 100% cosmetic. There aren't any stickers on the underside of the hood, but I don't know if that is normal or not. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
