Question Will A Set Second Set of Front Seats Fit In The Second Seat Row Position?

I have searched the forums, and have not ever seen this question asked, so here it goes. I was contemplating changing out the second row bench seat with a second set of captain's chair seats from another Excursion or a SuperDuty front row of seats. I know that the seat to floor adapter would be required, even though I have not researched if the part is still available. I was even contemplating upgrading all four to the 2008+ style seats. If someone has done this before, or any other similar project, I would appreciate any guidance.

I am getting ready to strip the interior out of the Ex and rework it, so it would be easy to extend the power for the seat motors and heaters at that point. Maybe even a center console to duplicate the front seat setup. Front row captain's chairs would have to be more comfortable than the current bench seat for those 1,000 mile plus days driving!

Thanks in advance for any experienced help!

I've heard of it being done before on other Ex sites....How did you make out on the swap?

I have not made the swap at this time (yet). The truck is coming home from being away for 4 years. Now it will be a project truck and I was trying to figure out just what to do to it!

Thanks for the post.
