If you can, stay away from a dealer as they will always ask to much for a vehicle even new ones. If a from a
Privet seller beware. Make sure they have maintenance history records, if not make sure you have it checked by a mechanic who knows that type of vehicle and motor. Dealers will change the oil and lean it up and put that nice shinny spray all over the motor and make it look so pretty but I'd they know little about diesels then u can get screwed like I did. Either way have both vehicles checked by a reputable mechanic who knows those motors and vehicles. I would go with a privet seller who has the maintenance history on his vehicle before I would go with a dealer. You will always pay way more then what the vehicle is worth if buying from a dealer unless you know a salesman who will really work with you and not screw you. Also what do you mean that one is rwd? All excursions are rwd or did you mean fourwheel drive? Just my two cents. Also the only excursions I've seen I'm my area for 11k were gas motors, if it's a diesel then something may be wrong or in the very rare case the seller don't need the money and just wants to get rid of it. In my 37 yrs of life I've only seen that happen once and ofcourse the person that bought it had the money to buy several new vehicles if they wanted to. Always wishes I could find a deal like that lol |

I am looking to buy a diesel Excursion 4 wheel drive. The $11K I looked on Sat was only 2 wheel drive. I am pretty sure the other one is a 4x4. Thanks for the suggestion between dealer and private. |

If you find one you are really intested in try to get an oasis report on it. The report will tell you any factory/warranty repairs and updates. One of the guys on this website was able to hook me up with the report for my truck.

Everything seem fine except the gas pedal doesn't move where as the brake pedal move (the 04 EB I bought has the adjustable padels). Has anyone ran into the same issue and had the fixed? Thanks |

I thought they move as one unit.....maybe a wiring issue or a fuse?? |

My '05 Ex pedals both move at the same time.

Yes, they should move as one unit. If they don't the distance between the gas and break pedals might be too far to move the foot to stop the vehicle. I hope it an easy fix.
