The Ex is gone...to get ARP's and a...

Just dropped off the Ex to get ARP's, Magnaflow 4" exhaust and a Powermax (with updated oil lines)! Plus a new oil cooler, EC-1 coolant, coolant filter kit and updated SCT fitting and stand pipes.
Talked to Bill at PHP and we are going to take my old style Insight and convert it to a Evolution and then use it to roll back my ECM and TCM strategy. That just gave me an excuse to get a new Insight CS with the expandable egt probe so I can also track my fuel pressure (when the 100psi one comes out).
Now just pricing out touch screen double din DVD/nav unit.
I could have to wait up to 2 weeks to get it back.

Mine whistles right around 5-7 psi but when I get on it, it isn't too much louder than stock, so I was VERY happy. I was concerned it would be too loud, particularly when I was towing. BTW, which shop is doing the work and who will be doing your tuning?

J&R Automotive in Lloydminster, AB is doing the work.

I am getting Bill at PHP to write tunes for my Evolution to match the strategy roll back. I am also getting Vivian to write me a looney tune for the SCT.

Let me know how you like the Looney paired up with the PowerMax. I may just give her a call.

The SCT fitting was in terrible shape, good thing we changed it out!

Got the Insight CS and EAS EGT probe, just waiting for the 100psi fuel pressure gauge to be shipped out.

Still waiting for Bill @ PHP to get the rollback all lined up so no Looney tune yet.

The Ex is running awesome and it sounds great with the Magnaflow 4" turbo back with muffler. I am using Vivian's street tune as my dd, it is really quick!

There was an issue when they were done, there was a misfire on cyl #4 with a #4 contribution code. It ended up being the exhaust valve pushrod was kinked on installation. There was no charge for diagnosis and repair.
