Bully Dog intake

I recently bought my 2004 Excursion from texas and drove it 16 hrs home. had absolutely no problems. I am wanting to mod it a little bit. My question is.. Is an not good for the 6.0? My mechanic told me to stay away from intakes completely.

the stock intake is good for about 500 hp from what I have heard

ok. i was told that an aftermarket one is bad for them.

aftermarket ones are not bad for the motor.. the stock intake will flow more than enough air for what you need.. no reason to change it out

Ok that makes sense. i will send it back to summit tomorrow. now i can get my gauges haha
