Radio upgrade completed

I just couldn't deal with not having XM radio for the past couple of months that I have been driving the excursion, so I did a little upgrade.
Goals: XM radio, stealth, clean crisp mids/highs, some low frequency fill, maintain as much cargo space as possible. I thought about doing the barn door speaker install that is in another thread, but I wanted to be able to yank the equipment out when I am ready for the next vehicle. I have a bad tendency to flip out of cars within a year or two. The other very important requirement that I needed was to retain the factory DVD for my boy.

Thanks man. At some point down the road, I am probably going to go ahead and add two additional 10's in the barn doors and some 4" drivers in the front doors. I have a guy locally that has done a few exursions in the past and overall he seems to be knowledgeable and a straight shooter... Not a good combination for my wallet, as playing around with this vehicle is very addicting.

There is an add-on to the unit that you can purchase to keep the controls. I think it was about $25. The thing with these head units is they get you with all the additional add ons.
XM/Sirius $$
HD Radio $$
Steering Wheel Controls $$
Installation $$
Wiring harness $$... The list goes on..

Does the rear DVD still work? Does it play thru the main system or just in the back thru the headphones?
