Give me a clue. What brand of exhaust, and where do I find it? I've got a 04 Ex LTD, 6.0L w/Banks Six Gun Bundle and Banks Ram Air. Thinking of xing the cat & muffler. Good or bad idea?

Just get a TB 4" exhaust MBRP is good. But ditch that banks for a SCT with custom tunes.

Thanks for the advice. Found MBRP on the web. Wondering how loud it will be with no muff or cat? Will I be able to drive by a cop without worrying about being stopped for excessive noise? Yes I'm a newbee, but appreciate the advice very much!!

Many guys have complained when putting the exhaust systems on that have no cat...DRONE...but I would recommend buying the system with cat delete...then you always have the option to put it back in if you so desire or keeping it off!

I would keep the muffler as it flows imperceptively less than a straigh pipe...in other words, you wont gain much with straight pipe over the muff mbrp gives you. Hope this helps!

I have the mbrp 4in turbo back on mine with the muffler and its just the right sound. Ive heard the same system without the muffler and it was a bit loud. It didn't sound bad, just loud. Me personally i'm glad that I went with the muffler.

well i went with a diamond eye (k4348s is the part # for mine as it has dual exits) that came with cat delete and a muffler. (stainless steel and it was cheaper lol) after installing it it was still very quiet (my opinion) i installed the muffler delete pipe and i love it now. on wot it makes the truck very well known so i wouldnt stomp on the throttle next to a cop but i have seen better fuel mileage since removing the cat and it got even better when i removed the muffler aswell
