Looking @ Excursions

I'm thinking about trading in the F-350 CC on an excursion but don't know much about them except that they look badazz and have PSDs. What platform are they built on? Axles, trany, t-case? Any tips on what years to look at or stay away from, etc?
Thanks for the info.

Keep reading up my friend! These are some of the most loved and cherished of all SUV's and many opinions abound on what is best...but we all agree that they are built on the platform of awesomeness...and there is no extra charge for awesomeness! Ha!

Diesel is wonderful...Gas is Great...life without an excursion is meaningless.

The wheelbase is a lot shorter than your F350 as well so it is a lot easier to park in tight areas.

the 2005 still has the old dash (04) and leaf springs on the front axle but the 2005 grille.
