fuel pump

I just bought an 04 Ex, I have a question about the fuel pump, seems that when the truck is shut off, i hear what sounds like the fuel pump running for about 20 to 30 sec. is this normal?

You have the flash that cycles the injectors after shutdown, to help with cold start issues.

greywarden, I am guessing you are from Canada with the 80k km on your Ex. What part are you from? Got any pics of your Ex?
Back on topic...better get the Ex flashed soon so you don't fry your ficm, they are pretty expensive up here!

Is this considered preventative mainenance, or will a dealer only flash your computer if there's a problem?

By the way, my fuel injector control module did go out last year

Dealer will flash to newer calibration on request, for a charge. Ficm's have been a sore spot with these trucks, I am on my third one in just over a year.
