need help with info on purchasing 03 excursion

Hello everyone,

I'm looking at an 03 excursion with the 6.0 diesel motor in it. Its an eddie bauer edition with 170,000.00 miles on it. it has 4 wheel drive, 6 disc CD player, dual dvd players, tow package with trailer brakes and hitch, new shocks, new egr valve and new AC compressor. The owner said they would take 12,000.00 for it. Is this a good deal? Anything I should worry about? It appears to have been taken very good care of. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated. Any questions I should be asking the owner? Thank-you for your time.

What I really could use some info on it the 6.0 powerstroke motor. Is it typically a good dependable motor? I have friends that own or have owned diesels and they try to avoid the 6.0 and buy only the 7.3L. If there are problems what typically are the problems? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

just went and looked at the excursion tonight. was pretty nice. just one question for anyone. I'm not very familiar with diesel engines. Is it normal to have a slight hesitation before the turbo kicks in? Once the turbo kicked in it seemed to go like crazy, but seemed to hesitate before kicking in.
