Don't laugh, but check Craigslist. I saw a new 05 chrome package billet grill for sale for $150 a few weeks ago!

so you need one for the pre 05s? Ive seen the 05-07s on ebay before... i wasnt in love with them at first, but since i got my dually 06 with the chome pack after my other 06, i do like them

I swear im a big GM guy, few pontiacs, yet somehow i've ended up with 2 fords, g/f likes mustangs so we have an 04 dsg Mach 1 and an 04 Mystichrome cobra, and out of all the mustangs, im most partial to the 96-98 cobra verts or an 01-04 saleen s281-E vert if i could have any of them lol Post some pictures of that camaro!

Mustang!!?? haha i am a ford truck guy but they cant make cars!! Although the cobra is not really a ford The camaro has heads,big cam, ever bolt on possible from QTP headers, gmmg cat back, racetronix's fuel system, 125 shot nx kit, nitro daves plate system, ford 9inch rear w/ 4.11's..... i can go on and on lol. Wasted to much money on it when i was younger. Wish i had that moeny now!!

Its not the dealer that makes the price. the parts come to the dealership with a cost and a list price. Yes some may mark it up a little more but for the most part the difference between list and cost is only about 35-40%. The dealer ship pays through the nose for the parts too. So maybe instead of calling them stealerships you should go right to the beloved name of Ford motor company.

$469 for a "plastic" grill is not only stupid, but it's robbery for a part that only cost $20 to $25 to make if that.

Maybe you should just buy the parts and try the repair on your own and then see if its worth the 700 bucks for the parts and labor if its just a simple repair.. I think its funny when people will complain about paying for a repair but for example if there a plumber and they charge a customer 60-80 bucks and hour sometimes more it ok.



I am also looking for this same grille. No luck on eBay either for it so far.

if you bought a car and got screwed at a dealership... thats your own dumb fault for not knowing how to buy a car... they are just doing their job... and shop rates of $80-$100 and hour is the norm whether its a dealer or a mom and pop shop... I have seen them as high at $150/hr in some cities I have gone to.... you have to pay for stuff, nothing is free... the dealer pays for parts... they cant just turn around and seel for cost... how would they stay open? they have to pay their techs what the going rates are or the techs go somewhere else or dont eat... you use the term stealership because you are not looking at the whole picture... if you own a company are you going to do labor for free and parts at cost? how long would you have your doors open? Im sure youd get a ton of business but you wouldnt be going anywhere

I've got a 69 Mach 1 and an 03 Mach 1, I'd be more than happy to take that Cobra off your hands

i got one off ebay and got it shipped up to canada. it shipped from illinois and got to northern manitoba in 5 days!! i got it from pershing auto body. they have a store on ebay. stupid prices. i also just ordered a 05 header panel for 119 bucks with free shipping.
