mini spring kit varies, wth?
i am looking to buy a mini spring kit but have noticed that there are different sizes. 2.5", 2.7", 2.8", and 3.0". is it safe to go to the 3" one? and will i need new shocks?

dont know about 3", but i got the 2.7 (actually a full length leaf) and it sets right at perfect height. if your truck sees more road duty than off you should be good shock wise. i still have factory shocks.

awesome...how does it make the ride hieght 3-4" higher. well that is what i measured te difference to be.

i dunno. i know in the jeep world i was in
, guys that were doing lifts (including me) got almost an inch over the adverstised height until they settled out. i would say SD springs do too. they didnt settle much though. i got summits brand of levelling kit which was just Rough Country in their box, nice product.

Only one I'd get would be a Icon or a Deaver. It will raise only the amount of the mini spring pack. A mini spring pack will not need longer shocks but new Bilsteins will improve the ride.
You will need a adj track bar as every 2" of lift will shift your axle 1/2-3/4" anyone who says different flunked geometry or just trying to make a quick buck. |

so i just need to screw out the track bar 1-2-3/4 inches to make up for the difference? |
