05 Headlight Harness
I have an 03 F350, looking to upgrade to the 05 HD style headlights. From what I have read, GOS & Stealth Automotive both make harness adapters to make this possible. The GOS is supplied with relays, etc where the Stealth version is more of a pigtail adapter. Has anyone here used either or know which one is best?

Be careful and do not use larger wattage bulbs!
The H13 is quite possibly the stupidest design for a bulb ever foisted on the public. The terminals are so small that they overheat, even at stock wattages, and melt the plastic housing of the connectors. Higher than stock wattage bulbs are offered, but not recommended |

I am also going with an HID conversion, from my understanding they have lower wattage than standard headlight bulbs. As for the harness?

Hids are fantastic except for the fact that no one makes a Hid housing for our trucks. non Hid Housings do not have the ability to focus the light properly so you end up with light scatter which cause problems for oncoming drivers. May also get ya a ticket.Thats why no manufactor of Hids will sell them for retrofit, only resellers do that.

I got the ebay harley headlights. I LOVE THEM. had to splice my wiring but that don't bother me.
Oh and I rock HIDs in my 240 without projection headlights and I haven't gotten a ticket yet. And trust me, I get pulled over every night in that damn car. |

i did the conversion and instead of buying the harness for 70 i bought an hid kit for 80 that did the conversion. i got the h13 hi/low kit from planethid.com. ive only had them for 3 days but so far they are awesome. just hope you dont have a problem with your order because after you buy they dont even return your emails. i spent the extra 10 for the relay but i think i was missing some pieces so i couldnt hook it up.

did you have good luck with the HID kit? which version did you get? would it be bad if I bought the 12k HID? are they bright as heck? I was thinking either the 8k or the 12k
