bumpers
I have ranch hand all around my f 250, headache rack, bed rails, steps, and front and rear replacement bumpers, they are built like a tank, but you are paying a good buck for them. The only thing i dislike is the finish could be a little better, i dont believe they were powder coated and some surface rust is beginning to come through after our Buffalo NY winters! In the spring i will be having them re-coated.

IMHO, I'd stay away from Road Armor if you want Heavy Duty. Road armor may look haevy duty on the outside, but I believe they are only made of 1/2 - 3/4" steel, unless they changed their manufacturing policies. Ranch Hand and Buckstop are probably your best bet, or even Fabfours, they've got some nice ones.

Big Green, 1/2 to 3/4'' steel? that sound pretty beefy to me, those thing would weigh a ton. How thick are the other ones?

there is no way they are made from 1/2 or 3/4 plate. More likely 3/16 in most areas and maybe 1/4 in the "tougher" areas.
Any flat metal bumper will be weaker compared to tube, wether it be square or round tube. i just cant believe what these guys are charger for aftermarket bumpers these days. |

I've got a Mr. Pickup on mine, its not the bigest and toughest but its well made and the aux. backup lights really put out a lot of light.
Bumpers from MIH Industries, Inc. dba Mr. Pickup mine is black powder coat diamond plate. |
