lift question?

i was deciding on 4in or 6 in lift and iwas told if i got 6 or higher we need new drive shafts because of the angle dont allow of the u joints to work properly is this true?

on your truck the stock length should be fine up to 6 inches. U joint angles can be changed using angled blocks at the axle end and using carrier bearing shims on the other end.

I have a custom drive shaft for my 7" but I did not need one. I ran the stocker for 6 months with no problem at all.

As mentioned with a 6" stock driveshafts are fine...just need to shim down the carrier bearing in the rear.
