How to remove door handles?

I should be getting a new set of white door handles in soon, and was wondering if anyone had some helpful advice on how to remove the existing handles. I have never taken apart my doors (surprisingly) in the three years I've owned the truck, and am curious to see if it is as easy as my old Tahoe was. Any help would be much appreciated, I know some of you guys have done it before. Thanks
