4.5 or 6" lift questions on a 2003
i know, i know, this has probably been asked a million times but i have to ask again. i am looking at getting a icon vehicle dynamics lift in either a 4.5 hanger or the 6" all spring system. what i wanted to know is if anyone is running something different and how they like it. or if you have the icon, please tell me any comments on that as well. the only thing major that i do is tow my camper which is a travel trailer at about 9000 lbs. so i plan on putting bags on as well. i just dont want anything rough as i travel some pretty harsh roads. thats why i am thinking the icon 6" plush ride deaver springs. this is going on a 2003 f350 SRW with leaves in the front so coil kits dont apply.
thanks for the replies guys ahead of time. clarence |

FWIW...Icon no longer uses Deaver springs, they haven't for a while now.
As mentioned the 4.5" will ride the best since it retains the stock springs so there is no increase in spring rate. The 4" or 6" front springs have slightly more spring rate but hold up better to off road abuse. For towing the best would be stock springs. But with the air bags you can get spacers for them to work with the 5" rears if you wanted to go that route. |
