06 f250 emblems peeling black

Anyone else loosing the black from their emblems?

Yes, your not alone. My brother told me a guy he works with used some type of household chemical to remove the remainder of the black. If I find out what is was I'll try to post it.

I tried the acetone. It didn't work on mine so I used paint stripper. That worked perfectly. I like the looks of the new emblems so much I did the PSD ones as well.

I have only had my truck for 2 weeks and the passengers side is about half gone.

I am taking mine back to have the badge replaced at the dealership.
