You're going to have a hard time finding an already painted red grille, unless someone happens to have one lying around the garage. To paint the chrome grille, several on here have suggested using oven cleaner to remove the chrome, then take it to someone to have it primed and painted. Otherwise, I would suggest buying a black grille off eBay (mine cost $70 shipped) and having it painted (cost me $180 I think). Sell the two chrome grilles and you'll make back most of your money.

Some people have criticized the black primered grilles that you can get on eBay as they're supposedly Chinese copies. Maybe, maybe not. All I can say is that mine looked very well made and have had zero issues with it.

The honeycomb can be removed by undoing all the clips on the back of the grille once you get it taken off. A simple pair of pliers will be all that is needed.

This is the guy I got my grille from. Just send him a message and he'll send you an invoice.

I taped the honey comb off didnt wanna break the clips (thats my luck) Peeled the flaking nasty chrome then just sanded the rest down. Shot it with some primer and paint away. If close to michigan I could give ya a hand
