Another hid question

Sorry I read 15 pages back...
I have a 2005 Harley edition. And was looking at the hid conversion kits.
To do the head lights and fogs.
I was looking at ddm's web site.
For head lights
- 35w or 55w
- hi/ lo of coarse
- wiring kit and mounting brackets for ballast required?
- was reading that 5000 is the cleanest out put, I don't want to be "that guy" or get flashed all the time.

What would you recommend for fogs?

I run 55w 8000k in my heads and fogs. If I have my lows and fogs on, I get flashed a lot so I just run the low beams most of the time unless I'm way out in BFE.

4300k is the clearest output to actually see, but it has a yellowish tint and isn't very appealing to most people as far as looks are concerned.

I've been running 5k in almost everything i have for a while now and i think its the best color as far as visibility and looks.

I always do yellow fogs cause i love how they look.

do it once and be done and you'll be happier than running hid's in stock halogen reflectors, do an hid projector retrofit.

There's a few DIY threads on the forums showing how to "bake" your headlights to split them open and install your own true HID light. A few guys have bought the cheap HID headlights and split them open to swap out the junk HID housing with the larger HID type that way there's less hassle getting them aimed properly which is critical with high/low type HID bulbs.

I have used DDMs 55w hi/lo kits in about 5 vehicles. I have tried 8000, 6000 & 5000 colors. I think 6000 looks the best.

Up here anything that has a blue to purple hue to it draws the attention of the cops I've found. What place is DDM? I know it's very popular, just drawing a blank.

ddmtuning.com

I get the:

55 watt HID kit
Hi/lo beam option
Wire harness

All you need is to find out what bulbs your truck uses. Also if you don't like te color of the HIDs you can buy a different color from DDM for about $15-$20 a pair for HID bulbs
