Updated Towing Mirrors

I just bought an 04 F-350 which has power towing mirrors on it without heat or turn signals. I would like to upgrade them to mirrors with these options, but I don't want to go through the hassle of doing all the wiring myself. I've read many forums and tried doing research, but either I can't find the answer to my question or I've seen different answers. I've read where people say that the trucks are wired for the heat and turn signal options already, so all you need to do is plug in the new mirrors that have these options on them. I've also read where if the truck doesn't have these options, the new mirrors will not work and you have to run your own wires for heat and turn signals. My question is whether or not the trucks all come wired from the factory with the same wiring harness, or is the heat and turn signal option missing from my truck?

I see no one has posted anything so ill be the first to say it. Try calling Ford. Or hell even BPD. Those guy know just about everything there is to know about these trucks. I almost want to say the 03-04's had a button for the heated option. I think you can solve this with a phone call bro.

Go to the 7.3 section, there's a lot more info on this considering your truck is actually the same body style.

I have an 04 with heated mirrors. There is no said button to push to turn the heater on. All the wires should (should) be there so all you have to do is plug a new one in.

I was wondering about that. I talked to a ford parts guy just this week and asked him this question, but I don't know whether he really knows or if he was just giving me his opinion. He told me that the heated mirrors run off of separate relays and he thinks that the mirrors without the heat and running light option won't have the correct wiring harness to just plug and play with mirrors that do.

When I get time tomorrow I will take my door panel off and take a picture of mine so you can compare the wires in yours if that will help you out.

That would be awesome! I can't seem to find an answer anywhere else so I appreciate it a lot!
