Try to go to a store such as john deere and see if they sell any polishing compound. The stuff that I got from them has a barrier to help prevent corrosion/ pitting, etc. It acts pretty much how a automotive wax works to save your truck's paint in winter months.

I would look at buying some cheap take-offs for the winter months and just put your others in the garage and leave them until it warms up. Just my .02

Another vote for plasti-dip. Just clean em real good and spray it on, and in the spring it peels off without too much effort and they look just as good as they did when you sprayed them....just might wanna leave the center caps off during the winter.

Its not very high tech but a healthy coating of soap and water on a normal basis will work wonders. Dont let that salt sit for days at a time. And remember if you got salt on the mags you got salt all over the truck as well.
