Stacks or no stacks

Well I have been thinking about getting some stacks for my truck. Currently I have the banks Monster dual 4" exhaust and well, I am getting a little tired of the look. Lately at work I have been looking at the "Exhaust Extensions" on some of our cat equipment, and have got to wondering what they might look like on my truck.

I have been looking for a picture of them, but I cant seem to find anything. The ones I am talking about are the black(painted I would assume) 45° Straight cut "extensions". The biggest that the parts guy at the cat dealership in Edmonton thinks they make is a 5.5" dia and 37" tall. Now sure I could just go down to the local truck shop and pick up a set of chrome stacks, but everyone seems to have a set of them. Either the straight cut, slash cut or the rounded ones. I will keep looking for a pic, but no luck so far.

So basically I am wondering do I go put an order for 2, 5.5" stacks for $120 a piece(company discount), or would they just look silly, or is there any bigger that I could find with the same industrial looking style? Also I have a plastic(cheap ford!) bed liner, how much bigger would the holes have to be to prevent any melting?

Here is an older pic, I have since taken the chrome mirror caps off and am thinking about replacing the chrome window trim with black ones also.

are you talking about the Aussie style where they go straight up but about a foot below the top they jut out sideways? heres my professional opinion on stacks. first off you gotta buy them and ship them to me, i will put them on my truck and that will let you know what they look like i say go for it!

The stacks I am talking about are off heavy equipment. Mostly the rubber tire loaders from what I have seen. Still looking for a picture and will show you guys what I am talking about once I find one. As for the wheels they are BMF wheels, SOTA series, 20x10.
