Lund Sun Visor install ?

anyone have any insight or maybe have a handle on some installtion instructions for the lund sun visor for the 03-07 SD (part #12160, drilled installation)? picked one up for cheap locally and would like to have it installed the "proper" way. would like to do myself as opposed to bringing it somehwere.

Thanks in advance

finished product pics. very simple install, as long as you get over the fact that your drilling holes in your roof

I am not sure yet. I wanted to let the silicon set for a while before i drove it around. By touching it it feels sturdy as hell. We shall find out. I used this caulk from 3M made for sealing windshields and other exterior trim in addition to the silicon for extra protection against possible leaking. Hopefully it wont be an issue down the road...

the sealant is called STRIP-CALK, in a blue box by 3M. $15, and you only need one strip...waste yes, but it will outlast silicon.
as for noise, i can tell theres something different by the way the air is flowing over the cab (mostly because i know the truck and how it used to sound) but a passenger would never notice the difference.
all screws still tight after 100 miles of driving, and after a day of rain, my headliner is dry

I had a visor on my 2006 and noticed some wind noise. It bothered me somewhat, so I took it off and made the 2 main vents larger (by about 1/4" all the way around) and that really made a difference. Just a thought. BTW, looks good.....

No problem. I just used a light-grit sanding drum on my dremel to trim out the holes.
