4" or 6" lift for 37" tires?

Its time to put a lift and some real tires on my 2005 F250. Going with 37" BFGs, but still undecided on the lift. I like the way a full fender well looks, but I also don't want the tire to rip the fender apart when I drop into a ditch out hunting.

So what say ye? 4" lift to fill the fender well, or 6" lift for extra clearance? Anyone have pics of either combination?

I've stuffed my 35s into my fenders on a 4" lift out wheeling. Imagine the damage if I had 37s.

I wouldn't want 37s with my 4in lift. Sounds like I need a 6in for some 37s. Kells, nice ride! Chive on!

37's looks quite nice in my opinion with a 4in lift. I included some pics of my truck if you want to get an idea. the pics are old but no doubt still has the same lift and tires on it.

nice to see some fellow chivers among us. KCCO!

A lot depends on what 37" and rim offset....and where you drive on road or off. Also some lifts like the Pure Performance 4 link will shift the axle 1" forward helping rubbing.

PM me if I can help.

Mines an 04 250 8" lift with 38.5's , I've came down hard a few times and crushed the fenders a little bit, but they folded in so perfectly that i just left them and it doesn't rub too much anymore, but mine also has the front leafs so yours might sit a little different
