05 mirror upgrade?

Have a 05 f250,has the small paddle mirrors on it,want to upgrade to the bigger towing style mirror, want a set that has the signal lites in them,my question is will the lites work with my factory harness, are they normally wired for them.or will I have to run my own wires?my mirrors I have are power ones, the new ones will be power as well.I also am looking at the 08 and up ones too,but will most likely buy the 07 ones, seems to be lots on evil bay. Harvey

The 05-07 tow mirrors are plug and play. The lights in them will work when you plug them in. If you get 08+ you may have to do some wiring.

I have a 2005 ex. had stock towing mirrors with running and turn signal lights that looked like these
2005 Ford F250 Truck Super Duty Mirror Power Heated Signal Dual Arm Telescoping Textured Black Pair at 1AAuto.com

Did an upgrade to these that are plug and play.
2003-2007 Ford F250 Truck Super Duty Power Heated Smoked Style Signal & Clearance Light Textured Cap Upgrade Towing Mirror Pair at 1AAuto.com

Straight swap, no wiring needed and only took about 20 min. Amazing how much more you can see with the new mirrors. Hope this helps. Good luck

If your paddle mirrors have lights in them they should be plug and play if you do not have the signal lights in your going to have to come up with a solution.

If i was to never look back, wouldnt that defeat the purpose of the mirrors. i really like the 08 and up ones better, just trying to justify the extra cost, only pull a trailer 2-3 times a year, trailer is a 32 foot gooseneck enclosed car trailer,it is really hard to see back there. that thing blocks a lot of sunlight on back there.
