Shouldn't I have Skidplates under my oil and tranny pans? I was under my truck today and noticed that they were not there. ? If I paid for 'em I want 'em!

My FX doesn't have 'em either, are you sure it's part of the package?

My '04 250 FX4 has plates covering the fuel tank and transfer case. I just checked www.fordvehicles.com, built each model (XL, XLT, Lariat, KR, and HD) with the FX4 add-on and it shows that you get the plates over the tank and xfer case, and Rancho shocks. Oh, and an FX4 decal.

No oil or tranny skid plates. It would make sense but who worries about that anymore? Right?

The skid plate package is part of the FX4 package...you should have them. From the Ford site, the FX4 package includes the following:
  • Transfer Case and Fuel Tank Skid Plates
  • Rancho Branded Front and Rear Shocks
  • "FX4" Decal

Sounds like you need to take a trip to the dealer and have them installed!!!

dang! I found them. But Ford Don't know how to make a skid plate. transfer skid will protect, but a serious off roader would catch it on everything. I guess I shouldn't expect more for the price. But it needs oil and tranny skids. Plus the decal being listed as part of the package doesn't sound right.
