Softening F-350 dually ride

A friend of mine just picked up an 06 F-350 crew cab dually and was wondering what could be done to soften up the ride when you're not carrying a load without compromising the ability to tow a big trailer. I was thinking airbags, but I've never messed with them before. I know they increase you load carrying capacity, but do they help with the ride?

I'm actually driving the truck now since I'm the one driving it back for him, and man this thing makes my F-250 seem like an old Caddy. LOL It actually makes me sick driving on these crappy roads in Houston.
