Split Grille by street scene

hey guys,

I am looking to possibly changing out my grille. I was shopping online and ran into this street scene grille that I really like. I was wondering if any of you guys have purchased this and how you like it. I want the grille shell to be chrome and black inserts. A rep told me that the inserts are paintable even though they come in chrome. They are factory quality, meaning urethane/plastic vs steel. Please advice

Paint chrome? Not even worth the effort unless you want to spend a bundle on removing the plating first. It won't stay on chrome

i have the Street Scene speed grille inserts. Paintable... um, I guess. Scuff them up a bit, lay down a primer, color, clear, and sure. it's paintable

I will say this... I got the SS and the darn thing is rustin a bit. Dunno why, but I do like the grille a lot. Thinking of going with the black chrome.

I am looking into getting the SPLIT grille chrome with black chrome inserts. Having trouble figuring out which one is best though. Plus, if I am correct, it would be almost $400 so I dont know if I should just invest in that later and get exhaust for now. I already have inserts on my stock grille
