2013 F250 tailgate on 2005

Will the 2013 F250 tailgate fit on a 2005? I've found a great deal on a brand new one in town, need to know if it'll fit like the others ASAP. Thank you!

Yes it will fit, you just need to change the driver's side hinge

Okay great. I noticed they look a little different with the added groove on top, wanted to make sure it was just a cosmetic difference.

You dont need the hinge to install the tailgate. The hinge only makes the tailgate easier to lift up to close and open.

Yeah, but it's only like $16, may as well do it

Only downfall is this tailgate is white, and my pickup is dark stone metallic which they didn't offer on the 6.7's. And I've been looking for 4 months or so, and havn't found even a '08/09 that color so I'm just gonna have to paint it. Sucks.

How much are you getting the tailgate for?

Here's the hinge PN:

It's definitely worth the $$ to get the hinge...these gates are surprisingly heavy without the spring assist to help lift the gate.

Well the tailgate is 350 right now, not sure how much that'll change after bidding starts. What drawed me to it was it's in the same town so I wouldn't have to pay 120 for shipping.
