track bar

Hi there,

I just fitted a 3" leveling kit to my truck, but the axle is now around an inch over to the right hand side(passenger side) I have done a bit of research and it appears this is normal and I could benifit from fitting an adjustable track bar to reposition the axle back to centre?

I just wanted to check that I am correct in thinking that this would resolve this issue?

cheers Phil

I'm having the same issue. I might try flipping the track bar this weekend to see if that solves it. I have a 2.5 level so I'm only about 1/2 to 3/4 offset. Figured its a free fix, so its worth a shot.

I got the 3" inch level so it's just under an inch to the right, but it's making the spring touch the metal casing so I want to get it resolved asap! Any suggestions on the track bar to buy for an 05 f350?

I looked them up earlier, BD has one for like $265 with free shipping. Just Google superduty adjustable track bar. Good luck. I'm glad mine isn't touching the frame. Its close though, probably why I hadn't noticed until now. Just tired of the wobble on the highway.

Here is a few pictures,

I found this one on ebay but it says it's only to 04 mines an 05 so I guess it won't fit!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-99-04-Ford...39978e&vxp=mtr

also what is the name for the bush that you can see is split in picture 2 top right corner and picture 3 on the steering arm?

I called the company I bought the leveling kit from and they said they have had this before but not very oftern but they said they sell a spacer that will lower the bracket meaning this will shift the axle back over. This option is $40 or I guess around $200 for an adjustable track bar.

$40 isn't bad. I've never seen lift spacers under the spring. That "bush" you're asking about is the drag link ball joint. Not sure if you get only the ball joint. I'm just going to buy a new drag link to install with new tie rod ends that are in my tool box. Only want to take it apart once. Mine is split too, but so are most of the ball joints in the steering. Haha.

I think I am going to get the adjustable one so it can be dialed in 100% the spacer under works quite well, I maybe should have just bought a 3 inch progressive lift.

Just wanted to let everybody know that helped and for future reference the bd adjustable track bar worked perfectly, the axle is now dead centre and the truck drives great!
