08 Powerfold Mirrors

Has anybody heard of whether it's possible to install the power fold mirrors of an 08 onto previous body styles? I know the mirror itself should bolt on, but is there extra mechanism or controllers inside the door?

I think the folding ones would be cool for parking in a crowded driveway(I always hit the stupid mirror when I park at my dad's and walk between his truck and mine.), but I don't want to get into cutting up my truck to install them or spend a huge fortune.

Should I be scared? LOL It sounds like it might be more than I can afford to blow right now. How much are we talking?

they are lil over 1k for the powerfold option.. comes with the switches so that you can mount them and fold them in....

the non fold ones are only 450.00 or 550.00 with the recon lenses

I was afraid it would be something like that. I would love to have them, but there's no way I can justify 1K. I guess I should get a lotto ticket Saturday. LOL
