Replacement LED bulbs for taillights

Anyone have any insight as to why brand of bulbs would be best to use to replace the factory bulbs with LED? I am not interested I spending money on complete replacement tailights just looking for bulbs. I know retro makes sone good ones but what's any other good options out there? Thanks. Also I plan on smoking the lenses myself.

I figured retro was the best option for the tail lights and the reverse lights. Did you utilize the same bulb for both tailights and reverse lights or are they two different bulbs?

They are different bulbs.

Tails are 3157

Back-ups are 3156

Look at getting the high powered back-up lights...

Dont forget to make the 3rd brake light LED too... that's a 922

And you can click on Retro-Solutions in my signature, it will take you there.

Anyone know about the 08+ tails? I looked at the sylvania replacement guide and it gives 2 part numbers for the backup lights, 3157 or 921?

I have the 08 taillights on my 05, the reverse bulb is a 921 (same bulbs as the cargo lights), the 3157 is for the tail light bulb.
