Replacement bed.
My bed sides are starting to rust and I just wanted to see what year model beds would interchange with the 05 that I have.
Thanks |

Re: Replacement bed.
I'm thinking 99-10 will be a direct fit. 11-13 MAY bolt on but the fuel door is the wrong shape and I have heard rumors of body lines not lining up. Is your bed nice enough to put bedsides on?

I think so its not in real bad shape just starting to get a little rust popping up under the paint on the fenders. I talked to a local body shop about fixing it and he said to replace the bed sides and labor would run about 4000.00. I think I could find a bed and have it painted for less than that.

Re: Replacement bed.
The $4000 sounds like they don't want to do it. The bed sides are only $400 each from Ford. I've got a buddy that is looking for a short bed for a project truck. He found one that was hurt pretty bad, needed a floor, one bed side, a rear cross member and the rear uprights and the body shop estimate was only $3000. He has opted to find another bed. In Georgia a clean bed runs $1500-$2500. Any less and you are doing body work. Good luck in your search.
