If the mirror lights are anything like the roof lights, then, the bulb is just one single bulb and there are just ridges on the inside of the lenses. If you are going to replace the lense you might want to consider the Recon Lenses.

no, you can't buy a new plasic cover for the bulbs on the mirror, you have to buy the cover and the cover for the entire mirror, from ford they are like 123 dollars(someone hit my truck so i had to get estimates) but i think the lights in the mirrors are LEDs arn't they? i would check the wiring make sure the plugs arn't corroded.

and as far as the recon lenses, they are actually cheaper then to buy 1 replacement lense from ford.......and Raul from Stealth Automotive does alot of recon lights on this site and most people use him to order from.
