08 rear bumper

Ok so here's my question that I can't find the answer to. I have an 06 250 that I'm putting an 08 tailgate and bumper on. My truck does have back up sensors, my question is will my 06 sensors fit in an factory 08 bumper with the sensor holes?

I am looking at the same swap. Was the bumper a direct bolt on? What brackets did you need if any? Did your original sensors end up fitting? Thanks.

Im also wondering if it is a direct swap or do you need different brackets?

It's a direct bolt on. The spare tire hole on the 08 + bumpers is on the other side you need to cut another hole.

Thanks for the info mts678. Would I use the brackets off of my 04 or would I need the brackets from the 08-10 truck that the bumper came off? Reason I ask is because I found a used 08 bumper on CL but no brackets.

You know I'm not sure. But I can tell you that I have a partial 08-10 rear bumper that I could sell you the brackets and bolts. Hell I was about to throw it away so if you just cover the shipping you can have the brackets and bolts

it bolts up directly.. mine had the brackets, my truck doesnt have backup sensors though, so they are just dummy sensors with wires that i ziptied up behind the bumper

Should or did? I have a new-to-me 2006 with reverse sensors and a 2012 bumper I just bought to commence the rear upgrade. Parts at the dealer just today told me the sensors are the same but the plastic mount they snap into that holds the whole assembly into the bumper is different.

Can anybody confirm this?

I love the truck but can't wait to get the rear and the mirrors changed to the newer model.....my last truck was a 2004 F150 FX4 and these 2006 Super Duty mirrors SUCK in comparison.

Love fords though.....sorry I only have a V10.

I should have some info for you soon. I will be doing this swap in the next couple weeks. Just waiting on my painter friend to spray the chrome parts black chrome.
