need new tires... advice

I have a 2wd, and went hunting this weekend in SE Ohio with my buddies. Its very hilly down there and it started to snow, we got in the truck to go get some lunch and I couldnt get up the hills either way! Last year my truck did a lot better, guess its time to get some new tires. Also on the way down a hill the backend came out and we spun off the road nearly hitting a couple mailboxes. I was looking at Nittos, but thought Id see what you guys like for snow, mild offroad...
